The Holy Spirit Catholic Church Nkwabeng, Sunyani, on Sunday, February 18, 2018 inaugurated her newly constructed ultra modern Single-Storey Mission House.
Gracing the occasion to bless the facility was the Catholic Bishop of the Sunyani Diocese Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi who also consecrated the newly modified Adoration Chapel. With him were Rev. Fr. Raphael Amoako Tawiah, the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Yeboah, Rev. Fr. Sixtus Evans Appiah Kyeremeh and Rev. Fr. Roshi.
The Bishop commended the faithful for their good work done to fulfil the dream of constructing the mission house for the priests to be closer to them. He also seized the opportunity to encourage all and sundry to fulfil their obligation of paying Caritas for the development of church and to help the needy since foreign aid is on the low now.
Earlier in his homily, the Bishop also urged everyone to take advantage over this period of lent to invest spiritually by making spiritual resolutions to do away with certain dispositions that are unchristian. He added that we must acknowledge our sins in order to work on them so as to emerge as new creations. In conclusion, he emphasized that this is the time of salvation; we should not let it pass by.
